The word attending means the doctor responsible for you.

In a teaching hospital, the attending physician is the one whose name is on the chart — the person ultimately answerable for the care. We named the practice after that idea because it's the thing telehealth lost, and the thing we built this to restore.

The founding story

Attending was founded by Dr. Mareen Greenway, a physician board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine who spent years treating patients inside telehealth weight management at national scale. She saw what the assembly-line model does well — access, convenience, price — and what it quietly gives up: the clinician who reads your chart because it's their chart.

She founded Attending on a simple conviction: metabolic medicine works best when the clinician actually knows the patient in front of them. Everything else about the practice — the small panels, the video-first evaluation, the flat fee — follows from that.

What we believe

Three commitments, kept structurally.

Continuity is the treatment

Weight care is longitudinal — dose changes, lab trends, life changes. It only works when one person holds the whole thread. So panels stay small, and patients keep their clinician.

Evaluation before prescription

A video consultation, a real history, contraindication screening — and an honest no when medication isn't appropriate. The evaluation isn't a checkout flow.

Nothing hidden in the price

A flat membership fee. Medication and labs at pass-through cost. No markups, and no discounts on the headline price — because a price that moves wasn't honest to begin with.
